About The Author

An upstate New York native, Johann attended Colgate University in Hamilton, New York, majoring in Journalism with a minor focus in Geological Studies. In 2014 and presently, she attended/is attending SUNY Herkimer, where she majoring in Communication Arts: New Media, a program that focuses primarily on graphic/digital design implementation in the areas of social and mass media. In January 2015, Johann relocated to Nashville, Tennessee where she is pursuing her Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in Photography at the Watkins School of Art, Design & Film.

An avid photographer since childhood, Johann is primarily self-taught in the areas of photo-editing and graphic design. Over the years, she has collaborated on numerous freelance projects involving different areas/venues of photography, vectored logo creation with expressed emphasis on brand development, web content administration/design and production, along with editorial submissions for various literary publishing sources.

A freelance designer/photographer by choice and trade –when she is not collaborating on special projects — Johann can typically be found with her nose in a book, working on writing (hopefully) the next New York Times’ Best Seller novel, or (more often than not) lost and wandering around a state park/forest with just her camera (and slightly strange obsession with trees), adding to her ever-growing collection of nature photography.
